Dental implants, full mouth, all on 4, all on 6.

A tooth can be lost due to injury or disease, this can affect the ability to chew correctly, to speak and this can cause discomfort and low self esteem. Dental implants are the only option for replacing lost teeth permanently.

Dental implants, full mouth, all on 4, all on 6Dental Implants are surgically implanted into the jaw with metal that looks like screws. On top of the implant artificial teeth are placed and this restores the persons ability to chew, improve their speech and appearance. There are different kinds of dental implants, full mouth, all on 4 and all on 6. The prices vary greatly depending on how many implants. The price can range from $5,000 to over $50,000.

All on 4 vs all on 6
In the all on 4 They use 4 implants, 2 are placed on the upper jaw and the other two on the lower jaw. These are placed strategically in order to connect four rows of dental bridges. The difference between all on 4 and all on 6 is that all on 6 uses two additional dental implants to have an even stronger base support than the all on 4. Now the all on 6 option might seam like the better option but for those that do not have enough bone strength to have the two extra implants the all on 4 may be more beneficial.

After Care
After a dental surgery there may be swelling, pain or bruising and you will need pain medication and in some cases antibiotics. Eat soft foods after the surgery as it will be painful and give the surgical site time to heal.

In most cases dental implants are successful but sometimes the bones fail to fuse with the metal screw if this is the case the implant is removed and cleaned up. Then you have to wait a couple of months until you can try the procedure again.
